The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course, held on April 16-17, 2025, at the Mercure Jakarta Cikini, in partnership with Wise Steps Consulting (WSC), brought together professionals from Jakarta, Indonesia, to enhance their knowledge of sustainable tourism practices and explore practical strategies for implementation.
Led by GSTC Trainer Mochamad Nalendra, who shared his knowledge and practical expertise, and with great clarity and dedication, he guided discussions on global sustainability challenges, unpacked the GSTC Standards as a framework for best practices, and shared real-world examples of how sustainable approaches can transform tourism operations for long-term positive impact.
Beyond the technical content, the onsite training fostered a dynamic and collaborative environment, enabling participants to engage in thought-provoking discussions, share experiences from their own professional contexts, and explore actionable solutions tailored to the realities of tourism in Indonesia. The course also served as a valuable networking platform, sparking meaningful connections among like-minded peers who share a common goal: to champion sustainability and drive positive change in the tourism industry.
