TTF Outlook TourismOn Friday, 29 August, tourism leaders, policymakers, and innovators gathered at The Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) Outlook 2025 Conference at Crown Sydney, Australia, under the theme “Global Shifts, Local Strengths.” The event served as a meeting point for influential voices shaping the future of the travel and tourism industry, focusing on how global changes are impacting local contexts and how destinations can harness their unique strengths to remain competitive and sustainable.

The Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) is a national, member-funded CEO forum that advocates for the public policy interests of leading organisations in the Australian tourism, transport, and aviation sectors.

Each year, TTF’s Outlook Tourism Conference drives debate on the national tourism agenda with a focus on the innovations that are shaping the domestic and international visitor economies. Randy Durband, GSTC CEO, participated in the event via Zoom. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and the GSTC Standards, the global standards for sustainability in travel and tourism.

Through keynotes, interviews, and panels, the 2025 program brought together industry leaders to explore opportunities and challenges facing the sector, including evolving international tourism markets, the impacts of climate change, and the global issue of overtourism.

The Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) is considered the peak industry group representing Australia’s tourism, transport, and aviation sectors. Established in 1989 as the Tourism Task Force, the organization aims to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to address key issues, promote innovation, and support the growth of these vital sectors.
