GSTC Accessible & Inclusive Travel Online Course Concluded SuccessfullyThe Accessible and Inclusive Travel Online Course, held from April 14 to 18, 2025, brought together tourism professionals to enhance their knowledge of accessible and inclusive sustainable tourism practices. The training explored practical strategies for implementation, equipping participants with the tools to better serve travelers with disabilities and access needs.

The course was led by GSTC Trainer Martin Heng, an expert in accessible and inclusive travel, and featured guest speaker Carolyn Childs, founder of MyTravelResearch.com, who shared valuable insights on market trends and inclusive tourism strategies.

The Accessible and Inclusive Travel Course was designed to inform participants about the size and potential of the accessible and inclusive travel market segment, aiming to dispel common myths about what people with disabilities and others with access needs want to do, as well as what they can and cannot do.

Throughout the course, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the composition of this market segment and developed greater confidence in catering to people with disabilities and accessibility needs. They explored the requirements of travelers with various functional and cognitive impairments, including senior travelers, and received practical tips and guidance on how to better attract, serve, and retain customers with access needs.

By the end of the training, participants successfully acquired a stronger understanding of how to deliver accessible and inclusive experiences. This knowledge enables them to gain a competitive edge, expand their market share, and enhance their revenue by meeting the needs of this important and growing customer segment.
