

The GSTC Sustainable Hospitality Course, held on May 26 – 28, 2025, in Singapore, in partnership with Ascott Centre For Excellence (ACE), brought together professionals from the hospitality sector to enhance their knowledge of sustainable tourism practices.
Facilitated by GSTC Lead Trainer Mochamad Nalendra and Co-trainer Eve Lee, who shared their expertise and guided discussions on global sustainability challenges, while providing participants with the essential skills to champion sustainable tourism practices. The class had the opportunity to delve into the GSTC Hotel Standard, one of the sets of the GSTC Standards, the global standards for sustainability in travel and tourism.
The session featured two guest speakers who brought valuable insights to the discussion. Desak Intan, Sustainability Director of Apurva Kempinski, and Nabil Tarazi, CEO & Founder of EcoHotels, shared their experiences in implementing sustainable practices within the hospitality industry.
By fostering a dynamic and collaborative setting, the onsite training enabled the 16 participants to share professional experiences, engage in meaningful discussions, and identify practical solutions adapted to the Singaporean hospitality industry.
