The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is pleased to announce the establishment of its Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). Composed of a diverse group of highly respected professionals from the tourism and travel industry, the Technical Advisory Committee will offer expert recommendations to support GSTC’s operations.
Their insights will help strengthen and enrich the decision-making process across GSTC activities. Members of the Technical Advisory Committee will provide guidance to the GSTC Board and operations team, specifically in areas related to GSTC Accreditation, the Recognized-Standard program, and standard development and revision.
“We are proud to have the backing of a highly skilled and respected team of experts. Their technical expertise and real-world experience will be crucial in guiding us through future challenges and fostering significant progress,” said Dr. Mihee Kang, GSTC Chief Assurance Officer.
The members of the TAC bring together diverse backgrounds from across the tourism industry. They were selected based on their demonstrated expertise and longstanding commitment to advancing sustainability in tourism.
The list of inaugural TAC members is available here. The GSTC looks forward to the valuable contributions the TAC will make as it begins its work in support of a more sustainable and resilient tourism sector. The first meeting took place on June 3rd, during which the GSTC and TAC members were introduced, along with the operational plan of the TAC.
