ITB Asia, the annual 3-day B2B trade show and convention, was held in Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 15-17 October 2025. Organized by Messe Berlin Asia Pacific and supported by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau. GSTC was a Conference Partner of the event, which ran parallel with ITB Asia, MICE Show Asia, and Travel Tech Asia under the theme “Future Forward: Transforming Travel & Tourism in a Changing World.”
At the Knowledge Theatre, Rita Kuan, GSTC Market Strategy Manager, presented “Turning Standards into Action: GSTC’s Role in Sustainable Tourism,” emphasizing how the GSTC Standards support destinations, accommodations, and tour operators in achieving measurable sustainability outcomes.
Ms. Kuan also moderated a session titled “Next Horizons: Future-Proofing Sustainability in the MICE Industry” at the MICE Show Asia Theatre, featuring Brian Ho, Vice President of Sustainability at Resorts World Sentosa; Ian Gan, Chief Sustainability Officer at Singapore EXPO and Vice President of Centre Management at Constellar; and Adam Piperdy, Founder and Chief Experience Officer of Unearthed Productions.
Through these sessions, GSTC shared practical insights on sustainable tourism and fostered dialogue with industry leaders across both the leisure and business travel sectors.

Resort World Sentosa, Constellar, and Unearthed Productions are part of GSTC’s Early Adopters for the GSTC MICE Standard. The program, which started in June 2024 and will end in June 2026, aims to facilitate the practical implementation of the GSTC MICE Standard, supporting its development and effective use in the industry.
