GSTC Sustainable Tourism Online Course for the Bahamas Concluded SuccessfullyThe GSTC Sustainable Tourism Online Course, held from March 24 to April 4, 2025, brought together professionals from the Bahamas to enhance their knowledge of sustainable tourism practices and explore practical strategies for implementation.

Guided by GSTC Trainer CB Ramkumar and Co-trainer Michelle Janke, the course unfolded as an engaging journey into sustainable tourism. Through thought-provoking presentations, practical case studies, and insightful exchanges, they inspired participants to explore new perspectives and actionable solutions.

The program also featured guest speaker Carolina AP. Mendonça, Azores DMO Coordinator, who shared valuable insights from the Azores’ sustainability journey. Drawing on her extensive experience, she highlighted real-world examples of implementing sustainable practices at a destination level, offering participants a deeper understanding of how collaborative efforts can create a lasting positive impact. This interactive learning experience not only expanded the understanding of sustainability challenges and opportunities among the 39 participants but also sparked meaningful connections among peers, united by a shared commitment to driving positive change in the industry.
