GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Concluded SuccessfullyThe GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course, held on April 09-11, 2025, at the Ixora Meeting Room, Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with Pan Pacific Hotel Group, brought together professionals from the hospitality sector to enhance their knowledge of sustainable tourism practices.

Led by GSTC Trainer Kingston Khoo, who shared his knowledge and practical expertise, guided discussions on global sustainability challenges, and provided the participants with the essential knowledge and skills to champion sustainable tourism practices. It presented an excellent opportunity to delve into the GSTC Standards, the global standards for sustainability in tourism and travel. 

The session featured two guest speakers who brought valuable expertise to the discussion. Bruce Hope, a water specialist and owner of Beribu Jaya Sdn. Bhd shared insights on innovative water management solutions. Joining him was Malathi Sundaresan, a freelance consultant specializing in food waste, who explored strategies to minimize waste and promote sustainability in hospitality operations.

The onsite training fostered a dynamic and collaborative environment, enabling the 28 participants to engage in thought-provoking discussions, share experiences from their own professional contexts, and explore actionable solutions tailored to the realities of the Malaysian hospitality sector.
